Purpose

The successful candidate is required to work both independently and as a member of a team, interacting effectively with business personnel to adapt and integrate new technologies and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analysis, design and development of cyber marketing techniques and strategies.

Job Summary

Key Accountabilities:

  • A deep understanding of growing Search Engine Optimization
  • End to end development of marketing campaigns which will include traditional, email, and online advertising.
  • Manage and coordinate direct marketing initiatives supporting customer acquisition, cross-sell and retention/usage across the full range of product lines
  • Identifying the most pertinent data upon which to segment customers in order to meet campaigns’ communication and sales objectives
  • Evaluate campaign success against campaign communication and sales objectives
  • Develop and own Virtual Broker’s Social Media Strategic Plan
  • Act as the voice of Virtual Brokers, responding to comments and engaging across social media communities
  • Expand social channel presence with real-time content creation and updates
  • Stay current on industry and social media news using that knowledge to further develop the firms profile
  • Propose, execute, track and manage tactics such as Facebook remarketing, Twitter Promotions, etc

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Fluency in English Language (both written and spoken, Note: Speaking French and/or other language will be a bonus).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial industry.
  • A solid understanding of copywriting principles, including copywriting for direct tactics and newsletters.
  • Working knowledge of customer retention, usage, and engagement techniques.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Email marketing tools such as Constant Contact, Vertical Response, MailChimp, or ActON.
  • Working knowledge or understanding of other marketing/communication disciplines, including mass advertising (television, print), digital marketing (web) and market research an asset.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years of experience in internet marketing which would include customer targeting, writing copy, test methodology, reporting, and direct response strategies and techniques.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing or Business.
  • Proficiency with any or more of the following programs and software such as; Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics, Adwords, are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google organic search.
  • Project and Vendors Management skills
  • Self-initiated, fast learner with a positive attitude.
  • Organized, accurate and hardworking character.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Having a creative and innovative approach
  • Ability to schedule and execute activities under strict time constraints
